Most of us who served in Korea or the Korean-era remember the story of the famous horse that transported gear to the front lines. SSgt. Reckless will be honored at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 26 with the dedication of a memorial at the National Museum of the Marine Corps . There will be a pre-show at 12:45. CCs attending our conference are invited to stay over to see the dedication ceremony. The event is one of several commemorating the 60th Anniversary of the Korean War.

Gunnery Sgt. Richard Leigh Ray, USMC (ret), 66, passed away Friday, April 19, 2013. He was born in Seattle, Wash. to the late Thomas Bennette Ray, Jr. and Frances Nadine Roddewig Ray. Mr. Ray served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and The Siege of Beirut.
