Membership FAQs
Applying for membership in the USMCCCA is a straightforward process. Please follow these steps to join:
Prepare Your Documents: Proof of service must be provided for regular and associates membership. Please have your documentation ready, which may include a DD214 or a Marine Online verification screenshot for active duty members.
Submit Your Application: All membership applications must be submitted online at the Association's website.
Set Up Your Subscription: Choose your membership tier from the options on this page. You will be directed to our secure Wix checkout to set up your annual membership dues. Dues may be paid by credit card using our official website. This creates an automated, recurring payment that is due one year from the date of your initial membership or last renewal.
Application Review: Your application is subject to verification and approval by the Board of Directors. You will be notified once a decision has been made.

Regular Membership
This category is open to individuals who served or are currently serving in the Public Affairs (PA), Combat Camera (COMCAM), or Communication Strategy and Operations (COMMSTRAT) occupational fields. It may also be granted to any present or former U.S. Marine who has served as a print or broadcast journalist, photographer, motion picture or television production person, artist or illustrator, reproduction specialist, public affairs officer, audiovisual officer, or other legacy occupational specialties responsible for visual information.
Associate Membership
This may be granted to any U.S. Marine Corps veteran who later served or serves in the profession of mass communications, or any member of the communication media who is or was professionally associated with the U.S. Marine Corps. It may also be granted to any individual working in a support capacity with a Marine Corps COMMSTRAT office as a Government Service (GS) or Contractor (CTR) role.
Affiliate Membership
This can be granted to any individual interested in furthering the aims and goals of the association. While not all inclusive, Affiliate Members can include civilians in the broadcast journalism field, active or former sister service members in the public affairs or combat camera fields, and technical experts in VI technology.
Life Membership
This is available to any regular, associate, or affiliate member who satisfies the dues requirement for lifetime membership.
Honorary Life Membership
This may be granted to any individual who has been of outstanding service to the Marine Corps through professional works.
