We are approaching near-record attendance at the New Orleans Conference. As of August 11 we have registered 156 Marines, members, guests, etc. and we have one month to go. Oral histories wanted at conference
Okay, Conference-goers. You've asked before about doing oral histories so we are going to accommodate you in New Orleans. Rob Taglianetti will be making a presentation on Tuesday but will remain at the conference through Friday morning. Fries, Jr.: Radio announcer and author of "Raging Fire" passes
CC member, Sgt. Charles J. V. Fries, Jr., son of Shirley A. Joslin-Fries passed away at his home in Nashville, TN., March l6, 20ll. Charles was born in Syracuse, New York September l2, l954. He spent many of his younger years in Hawkinsville, New York. The family moved to Florida in l959. Charles graduated from Fort Myers High School, Fort Myers, Florida, class of l972. He attended Edison College in Fort Myers.

2011 Guest of Honor confirmed
Lt. Gen. (s) Steven Hummer has been designated by the Commandant to be the Guest of Honor at the USMCCCA Annual Merit Awards Banquet on Thursday, September 15 at the Westin Hotel in New Orleans.
