From Joe Galloway : Last night the Virginia International Tattoo broadcast a virtual Tattoo in place of the real one which was cancelled due to the virus. Loads of clips of Marine band and others including Scots Highlanders. They had me read a tribute essay I had written about The Greatest Generation, and then had me speak about Ernie Pyle. They had someone read aloud Ernie's greatest column of all: The Death of Captain Waskow. I sat here watching that sobbing aloud.

Renaldo R. Keene, 73, of Stafford County, passed away on February 7, 2020 with his family by his side at Genesis Healthcare-Woodmont facility, Fredericksburg. Renaldo was born July 22, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa to Allen Richard Keene and Lucy Cruz. He graduated in 1965 from East High School in Sioux City and joined the Marine Corps. Renaldo spent 35 months in Vietnam and retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in 1990. He wrote for Leatherneck Magazine u
