Nominations open for 2021-2022 USMCCCA Board of Directors
According to President Dan Clare , nominations are open for the upcoming election of officers and directors for the 2021-2022 board. Bob Mergle, vice-president, photographer passes
It is with great sadness we learn that our national vice-president, Bob Mergle , died April 23, 2021 resulting from complications related to two strokes. He is survived by his wife, Jane Mergle; his sister, Linda Lewiston and his youngest sister, Susan Scheiderich. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, he was a 1963 graduate of Seneca High School; and later a 1987 graduate of Columbia College, Missouri. He served on active duty in the US Marine Corps as a ground combat photograph

MVJ offers 7 paid internships
Military Veterans in Journalism (MVJ) is hosting seven paid fellowships this fall. These fellowships will last roughly six months (with some lasting even longer) and will be held at various newsrooms throughout the country. This is an amazing way to jump start your journalism career and make a name for yourself. News outlets like CNN, Coffee Or Die Magazine and AmeriForce Media have all voiced their want and need for more veterans in their newsrooms. YOU could be that vet.
