I found this amongst the memorbalia of my deceased Father in Law, Colonel Robert L. Ely, Jr. He was a 25 year old battalion commander in Patton's Third Army, got out after the war, and subsequently returned to Active Duty in 1948. Served overseas in ETO (1944-45), Eniwetok Atoll (1951), Brazil (1957) and Japan (1961-64).

Denig Dedication In Overdrive
The official dedication of the Brig. Gen. Robert L. Denig Memorial will be held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 17. Ceremonies will begin in the Semper Fidelis Chapel at 10 a.m., then move to the nearby Denig Memorial site. Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Dies
Few of today's Marines will remember that former New York Times publisher Arthur Ochs "Punch" Sulzberger , who died Saturday at age 86, served in the Corps as an informational services officer in Korea, rising to the rank of captain before taking his discharge.
