The Department of the Treasury - US MINT is seeking a Veteran for a Non paid Work experience.  See below for the specific skills. Title: Public Affairs/Exec Secretary Work Location: United States Mint, 801 9th St., NW, Washington, DC 20220 Duties: The duties and responsibilities would include being assigned to the Mint's Public Affairs Office and writing articles for its various internal publications. As the intern gained more experience and knowledge of the Mint, duties could include writing press releases and interfacing with the media. Duties would also include contributing pieces to the Mint's internal and external websites and contributing to its social media efforts.  He/she would also be expected to answer phone calls from the public and directing callers to the appropriate department in the U.S. Mint.  In essence, the intern would be expected to be a vital contributor to the Mint's Public Affairs Office, performing a range of duties. Writing skills would be the most welcome. The ideal intern would have writing and general administrative experience. He/she ideally would also have some experience working with social media. The candidate could contribute by writing pieces for the bureau's various publications and contributing to its internal and external websites. If the candidate had any audio-visual experience (e.g., video production), that would certainly be an extra added benefit. The interns would learn how a bureau that is part of the Treasury Department functions and the role it plays in the financial fabric of the country.  In addition to the role circulating coinage plays in our country, the intern will also learn about numismatic coins and investor quality precious metals (bullion).
