Ross: Longtime CC Charlie Ross Passes In Winter Park

CCHQ was advised November 6 of the death of longtime CC and Florida Chapter member Charles "Charlie" Ross, a resident of Winter Park, FL.  Charlie, a retired gunnery sergeant, was in the photographic field his entire career.  He served with a motion picture team in Vietnam in 1966-67. Charlie and his wife, Elva participated in several CC Cruises, arranged by former national Treasurer Tom Kerr.  He became well known on these cruises for appearing at formal dinners in traditional Scottish attire.  He was very active in Orlando area Scottish events each year.  He also was Sergeant at Arms of the Central Florida Chapter of the 1st Marine Division Association.  He is survived by Elva and two daughters. Services have been scheduled Saturday, November 9 at the Collison Funeral Home, 3806 Howell Branch Rd., Winter Park, FL.
