McLaughlin speaks to public affairs class

Deputy Director of Public Affairs (and CC), LtCol. Matt Mclaughlin, pinch hit for DirPa, Col. Bryan Salas at a special DINFOS session Oct. 23, 2009. Initiated by former school commandant, Navy Capt. Curry Graham, every 60-member Public Affairs Qualification Class meets in a lecture/Q&A setting with senior public affairs leadership from each of the armed forces.

McLaughlin, a former infantry officer, reported to his current posting from U. S. Central Command Headquarters in Tampa, where he ran the Plans and Media Branch. The University of Rochester grad formerly served as PAO to the Commandant and is a graduate of both the Amphibious Warfare School and the Marine Corps Command and Staff College.
