Durie: Life member "Sam" passes

Charles W. “Sam” Durie passed away suddenly in Aguanga, California.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Doreen and is survived by two sons, Preston, Michael and step son Jeff Daniel and step daughter Wendi Bremermann.  He is also survived by his wife of 26 years, Trudi. Sam was a life member of the USMCCCA.   During his career in the Corps he was a motion picture photographer.  He had combat tours in Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Corps as a First Lieutenant.  Following the Corps he worked for George Washington University. Was a producer/director of commercials in Guatemala and worked for the Veterans Administration as a motion picture and television cameraman., Following his retirement from the VA, he was a consultant to the VA for 10 years.  Charles W. “Sam” Durie was 84 years old.
