Colonel Jenny M. Holbert, USMC (Ret.) is seeking a position as a USMCCCC Board Director

Colonel Jenny M. Holbert, USMC, Retired, served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps for 30 years across active and reserve components, rising from Corporal to Colonel. While enlisted, she was a photojournalist for the Quantico Sentry (1978–1979). As an officer, she served as a Disburser, Adjutant, and SLJO before entering Public Affairs (COMMSTRAT) in 1991. Her assignments included serving as the PA Plans Officer for the 1996–1997 Armed Forces Inaugural Committee, managing special projects at HQMC, Quantico, and Camp Pendleton, and working both as a civilian and on active duty as the PAO for the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab during Urban Warrior.

Most notably, Colonel Holbert served as the Director of Public Affairs for I MEF from 2004 to 2005 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She led the strategic communication effort for the Second Battle of Fallujah (Operation AL FAJR) and the first free elections in Iraq. Her plan leveraged major unprecedented communication tactics, including embedding roughly 400 civilian media representatives, deploying 40 Marine PAOs and combat correspondents to the battalion level, and utilizing the Defense Visual Information Distribution Service. From 2005 until her active duty retirement in 2008, she served as the Public Affairs Director for Marine Forces Command.

Colonel Holbert brings extensive experience ranging from long-term strategic planning to event execution, driving positive impact for the Association's future goals. Her recent volunteer work includes serving with the Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club and acting as a judge for the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation Award program.
